All the classrooms have been keeping busy this fall! The pre-k and
transition classes have taken two field trips. In September the classes went to Lookout Farm in South Natick.
There they took a train ride into the orchards where they picked apples and peaches right off the trees. They also
got the opportunity to see the variety of animals in the petting area and a chance to play in the playground. In October,
the entire school took a trip to Sunshine farm in Natick. There we took a hay ride into the pumpkin patch where
each child chose a pumpkin. After returning back to the farmstand, the children were each treated to a delicious ice
cream. A perfect way to end our day at the farm. Mmmmm!
Music & Movement
We are happy to welcome back our music and movement teacher, Elaine Kessler.
Elaine has been teaching music classes at local schools and libraries for several years. We consider ourselves lucky
to have her join our team!
Nature
Jen Searle, from Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary, is joining us for a third
year. She will be visiting our school monthly with a hands-on, age appropriate lesson. Every month she comes
prepared to teach us about some of the things we may see in the world of nature! The children are always excited
when they hear it is a "Nature Day!!"
Walk to the Library
The Pre-k and Transition classrooms have begun taking their trips
to the Sherborn Library. Weather pending, the classrooms walk to the library where the children are given the chance
to choose a book to bring back to school. We never leave the library before gathering together to read a story.
Our trips are a great way to introduce the children to the wonderful world of books. The primary will begin their trips
later in the year.
